(C217): Projeção da S63 AMG 2015

Several months before until its official unveil, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG Coupe (C217) is still making the headline rounds, with various photoshop artists around the world trying to predict the exact bodykit that the new uber-coupe will have.

The latest rendering of the car comes from Dutch artist Remco Meulendijk, who envisioned it to sport the exact same bodykit and rims as the S 63 AMG sedan.

While his work appears to be spot on from the rear-three quarter view, we respectfully disagree with how Remco believes that the front bumper will look. 

We say this because recent spy shots have shown the upcoming model to sport a front apron that is more similar to that from the Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG W212 facelift, where the “A” in the bumper is struck through to look like a bone from afar. 

The rear, on the other hand, is most definitely how the production version of the S 63 AMG Coupe (C217) will look, including the four trapezoidal exhaust exits and the two vertical side vents in the bumper.

Engine-wise, it is expected that the first AMG version of the gorgeous S-Class Coupe will feature the M157 powerplant from the S 63 AMG sedan and will feature the same specifications.

No less than 585 hp (577 bhp) and 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque will be squeezed from the 5.5-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, translating into a naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 4.3 seconds for the rear-wheel drive version and 3.9 seconds for the impending 4Matic variant. 

Just like the sedan, European customers will receive rear-wheel drive in standard and 4Matic all-wheel drive as an option, right-hand drive countries will only get the rear-wheel drive while the US is blessed with the 4Matic as the only option. The S 63 AMG Coupe is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2014, this fall."
