Engraçado, foram poucas 500SL até 1985. E faltam as europeias 500 fase 3, entre 85 e 89. Quanto aos números das 450SLC 5.0/500SLC, eles estão unificados, dos 2.769, só os últimos 1.147 são 500 (acho). Abs

R107 Production Enhancements
The springs have a different spring rate, front and rear. | |
The front stabilizer bar has a 26mm diameter instead of 25mm diameter. | |
The shock absorbers are shorter and have a harder rate. | |
An additional polyurethane bottoming spring has been added. | |
Some model 124 front end parts are used on the front end - the following parts are redesigned | |

Chassis Numbers
R107 The R stand for Roadster.
The first three numbers on your chassis number (ignore any letters) tell you the body style. 107 = 107 series chassis
Engine Numbers
Engine numbers since 1959 have followed much the same pattern as the chassis numbers.
The first three numbers identify the type of engine. For example the M110 is a type of engine.
The 107 chassis, is sometimes referred to as "R 107" for "Reihe" (series). U.S. models built on the 107 chassis were the 350 SL, 380 SL, 450 SL, and the 560 SL. (One of the European models of the 107 family was a "280 SL"). Production of the first R107 car, the 350 SL, started in November 1970 alongside the last of the W 113 cars.
